Immanuel Retreat Center

We serve guests as soul friends and share love and learning as spiritual practice.

A Broad View of Growth and Learning

We strive to be a place apart where a free and open exploration of music, art and spirituality is fostered, where people come to study, learn, pray, practice, contemplate, discern, teach, think, and grow. We encourage interdisciplinary explorations, such as music and art therapy, and the freedom to discern one's own path to personal and spiritual growth. We provide resources such as our library of western spirituality, access to spiritual direction, wellness coaching, spiritual psychotherapy and instruction in various contemplative practices, all offered from a place of openness and understanding.

The Arts Build Community

We believe that the arts are important in developing community and the local economy. Stone Church Arts has been an outreach program of Immanuel Episcopal Church since 2004. Immanuel Retreat Center, launched in 2013, expands our mission of arts education and programming. For example, we host the Vermont Improvisation Intensive each year and the Festival of Mandolin Chamber Music twice per year. We also offer art classes that are accessible to the non-artist while encourage a mindful or meditative approach.

Present Your Program in Music, Art and/or Spirituality

We have several venues to choose where you might present your own programs, either renting space or as a program of the retreat center. We encourage interdisciplinary programs and meditation groups. Read about our Programming Policies and email or call us to discuss your proposal.
